Welcome to Cee. These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Cee mobile application ("App"), including the CeeWatch companion app for Apple Watch and any future companion apps (CeeTrail, CeeWalk), operated by Orbital Point ("we," "us," or "our").
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the App.
These Terms apply to all users of the App, whether using free features or premium subscriptions, and whether signed in with an account or using the App as a guest.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
Cee offers multiple ways to use the App, including as a guest or with a registered account.
Guest Access
- You may use core features without creating an account
- Guest users receive an anonymous device-based identifier
- Progress (XP, Sparks, trips) is stored locally and on our servers
- Guest data can be preserved when you later sign in
Registered Accounts
You can create an account using Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate, current, and complete information
- Maintain the security of your account credentials
- Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
- Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access
- Not share your account with others
Account Linking & Upgrade
- Guest accounts can be upgraded to full accounts while preserving all progress
- Your Sparks, XP, streaks, and trophies are merged when upgrading
- Each authentication provider can only be linked to one Cee account
- If you try to link an account already in use, you will be prompted to choose which account to use
Multi-Device Access
- Registered accounts can access Cee across multiple devices
- Progress syncs automatically between devices when signed in
- Switching to a different account on a device resets local data for that account
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we reasonably believe are being used fraudulently or inappropriately.
When using Cee, you agree to:
- Comply with all applicable laws and traffic regulations
- Use the App responsibly and safely
- Not interact with the App while actively driving (use voice commands or have a passenger operate it)
- Not rely solely on the App for navigation or safety decisions
- Submit only accurate and truthful reports based on genuine observations
- Respect other users and the community
- Provide honest feedback on reports you encounter
Prohibited Activities
You may not use the App to:
- Violate any laws or encourage illegal activity
- Submit false, misleading, or spam reports
- Abuse the report submission system to artificially inflate XP or Sparks
- Harass, abuse, threaten, or harm other users
- Stalk or inappropriately monitor other users' locations
- Interfere with the App's operation or security
- Collect data about other users without consent
- Impersonate any person or entity
- Manipulate the gamification system through exploits
- Create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions
- Share inappropriate or offensive content in voice recordings
- Engage in any activity that could damage our reputation or service
Trust Level Responsibilities
Higher trust levels (Gold, Platinum, Diamond) come with greater responsibilities. Users with elevated trust who abuse their privileges (such as auto-approved reports) may have their trust level reduced or account suspended.
You may submit content to the App, including reports, voice recordings, feedback, and other materials ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you:
- Grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable license to use, modify, display, and distribute your User Content for operating and improving the App
- Represent that you own or have rights to submit the content
- Acknowledge that User Content (except voice recordings) may be visible to other users
- Understand that we may remove User Content at our discretion
- Agree that reports you submit contribute to the community database
Voice Recordings
- Voice recordings attached to reports are stored securely on our servers
- Other users may listen to voice recordings when viewing reports
- Voice recordings must not contain inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Maximum voice recording size is 5MB per report
We do not claim ownership of your User Content, but we need these rights to operate and improve the App. You remain responsible for all User Content you submit.

Gamification & Trust Levels
Cee includes gamification features designed to encourage safe driving behavior and community participation.
Experience Points (XP)
You earn XP through various activities:
- Daily check-in: 10 base XP + streak bonus (5 XP per consecutive day, max 30 days)
- Report submitted: 15 XP
- Report verified by community: 30 XP
- Alert received: 5 XP
- Trip completed: 20 XP + distance bonus (10 XP per 10km)
- Streak milestones: 50 XP (7-day), 200 XP (30-day)
Trust Levels
Your Trust Level is determined by your total XP:
- Bronze: 0 - 999 XP
- Silver: 1,000 - 2,999 XP
- Gold: 3,000 - 5,999 XP
- Platinum: 6,000 - 9,999 XP
- Diamond: 10,000+ XP
Higher trust levels unlock benefits such as faster report approval, increased report submission slots, and community recognition.
Streaks
- Maintain a streak by using the App at least once per day
- Streaks reset to zero if you miss a day
- Longer streaks earn bonus XP on daily check-ins
- Streak milestones (7 days, 30 days) award special XP bonuses
Trophies & Achievements
- Unlock trophies by completing specific achievements
- Trophies range from Common to Legendary rarity
- Once unlocked, trophies remain permanently on your profile
- Trophies sync across all your devices
Coin Collection
- Collectible coins spawn along your predicted driving path
- Coins appear when driving at 10+ km/h after traveling 300+ meters
- Collected coins award Sparks currency
- Coins despawn after 60 seconds if not collected
Premium Gamification Benefits
- Paid premium subscribers receive automatic Gold tier minimum
- Premium subscribers (not trial) earn monthly Sparks bonuses: 100 Sparks every 5 days, 200 bonus on day 30
- Premium benefits only apply to paid subscriptions, not free trials
We reserve the right to modify XP values, trust level thresholds, and gamification mechanics at any time. Manipulation of the gamification system through exploits or abuse may result in XP reset or account termination.

Virtual Currency (Sparks)
Cee features a virtual currency called "Sparks" that can be earned and spent within the App.
Earning Sparks
- Collecting coins while driving
- Premium subscriber monthly bonuses (for paid subscriptions only)
- Promotional events and special activities
- Achievement rewards
Spending Sparks
- Purchasing 3D car models in the Store
- Purchasing custom cursors
- Purchasing ceedometer styles
- Purchasing map style customizations
Sparks Terms
- Sparks have no real-world monetary value
- Sparks cannot be exchanged for cash, gift cards, or any real currency
- Sparks cannot be transferred between accounts
- Sparks cannot be purchased with real money
- Sparks balances are stored on our servers and sync across devices
- We may adjust Sparks earning rates or store prices at any time
Multi-Device Sparks
When you sign in on multiple devices, your Sparks balance combines using additive merging. Sparks earned on any device are added to your total account balance.
Sparks on Account Termination
If your account is terminated or deleted:
- All Sparks in your account are forfeited
- Sparks cannot be recovered after account deletion
- No refund or compensation is provided for forfeited Sparks
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Sparks system at any time. In the event of discontinuation, we will provide reasonable notice and may offer alternative compensation at our discretion.

Social & Friends Features
Cee offers social features that allow you to connect with other users and share your driving experience.
Friend Connections
- Add friends using unique invite codes (XXX-XXX-XXX format)
- Friend requests must be accepted by the recipient
- You can block users to prevent friend requests and access to your data
- Friendship is mutual - both users can see each other's shared data
Data Shared with Friends
When you become friends with another user, they can see:
- Your profile (display name, avatar, trust tier)
- Your driving statistics (distance, trips, alerts, reports, max speed)
- Your gamification progress (XP, tier, streak, trophies)
- Your activity feed (last 90 days of activities)
Location Sharing
- Location sharing is OFF by default
- When enabled, ALL accepted friends can see your real-time location
- Location sharing is global - you cannot share with specific friends only
- Friends can see your location, heading, speed, and selected 3D car model
- You can disable location sharing at any time
- Location sharing preference syncs across all your devices
Location Viewed Notifications
You may receive notifications when friends view your location on their map. This feature can be enabled or disabled in notification settings.
Social Feature Guidelines
- Do not use location sharing to stalk, harass, or monitor others inappropriately
- Do not share your invite code publicly if you don't want friend requests from strangers
- Respect other users' privacy and boundaries
- Report inappropriate behavior to our support team
We reserve the right to disable social features for users who violate these guidelines or engage in inappropriate behavior.
Cee offers premium features through subscription plans managed by RevenueCat and processed through the Apple App Store.
Subscription Plans
- Monthly: $6.99/month with 7-day free trial
- Yearly: $34.99/year ($19.99 first year promotional price)
Premium Features
- Ad-free experience (no banner, interstitial, or app open ads)
- Turn-by-turn navigation
- Unlimited Places searches (free users limited to 10/day)
- Unlimited trip storage (free users limited to 30 trips)
- Background alerts when app is not in foreground
- Apple Watch alerts on CeeWatch
- Weather information
- Automatic Gold tier minimum
- Monthly Sparks bonuses (for paid subscriptions)
Subscription Terms
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID account settings
- Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription
Free Trials
- The monthly plan includes a 7-day free trial
- You will not be charged during the trial period
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you will not be charged
- Trial users do not receive premium Sparks bonuses (only paid subscribers)
- Free trial eligibility is determined by Apple and may be limited to new subscribers
Cross-Device Access
- Premium status syncs across all devices signed in with the same Apple ID
- Your Supabase account is linked to RevenueCat for subscription restoration
- Sign in on a new device to automatically restore your subscription
Refunds
Refund requests are handled by Apple according to their App Store policies. We do not directly process refunds. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or use the "Report a Problem" feature in your purchase history.
Price Changes
We may change subscription prices. Price changes will apply to subsequent billing periods. Apple will notify you of price increases, and you must consent to continue your subscription.
The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality are owned by Orbital Point and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.
Our Property
- The Cee name, logo, and branding
- App design, graphics, and user interface
- Software code and underlying technology
- Documentation and written content
- Speed camera database and curated report data
- 3D car models, cursors, and visual assets
- Audio files and sound effects
- Gamification systems and mechanics
User License to Purchased Items
When you purchase items from the Cee Store, you receive a license to use those items within the App. You do not acquire ownership of the underlying assets, and you may not:
- Extract, copy, or redistribute purchased assets
- Use purchased items outside the App
- Sell, trade, or transfer purchased items
- Modify or create derivative works from purchased items
Third-Party Content
The App uses content and services from third parties:
- Mapbox: Maps, navigation, and traffic data
- Google: Places search and advertising
- Firebase: Analytics and crash reporting
- RevenueCat: Subscription management
Third-party content remains the property of their respective owners and is subject to their own terms and licenses.
User Feedback
If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the App, you grant us the right to use that feedback without compensation or attribution to you.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
No Warranty
We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to:
- Merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose
- Accuracy, reliability, or completeness of information
- Accuracy of speed camera, police, or hazard reports
- Uninterrupted or error-free operation
- Security or freedom from viruses or malware
- Results obtained from using the App
- Compatibility with your device or network
Safety Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: Cee is a supplementary safety tool and must NOT be relied upon as your sole source of navigation or safety information. Always:
- Obey all traffic laws and posted speed limits
- Pay attention to the road and actual driving conditions
- Use your own judgment when driving
- Do not interact with the App while driving
- Do not exceed speed limits even if no alert is shown
- Remember that speed cameras and enforcement locations change frequently
The absence of an alert does NOT mean an area is free of speed enforcement, hazards, or other driving concerns.
Community Report Disclaimer
Reports are submitted by users and may be:
- Inaccurate, outdated, or false
- Missing from areas with actual hazards
- Incorrectly located or categorized
Location and Navigation Disclaimer
GPS and location services may be:
- Inaccurate due to signal interference, weather, or device limitations
- Unavailable in tunnels, underground areas, or remote locations
- Affected by iOS location permissions and settings
Gamification Disclaimer
Sparks, XP, trophies, and other gamification elements have no real-world value. We may modify, reset, or discontinue these features at any time.

Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ORBITAL POINT AND CEE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP.
Exclusions
We are not liable for:
- Traffic tickets, fines, penalties, or points on your license
- Accidents, injuries, property damage, or death
- Loss of data, Sparks, XP, or game progress
- Unauthorized access to your account
- Decisions made based on App information or alerts
- Failure to receive alerts or notifications
- Service interruptions, outages, or technical failures
- Actions of third parties, other users, or advertisers
- Inaccurate reports submitted by other users
- Loss of premium subscription benefits
- Changes to features, pricing, or availability
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY EXCEED THE GREATER OF: (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100 USD).
Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages (such as personal injury). In such cases, the limitations above may not fully apply to you, but will apply to the maximum extent permitted by law.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Orbital Point, Cee, and their affiliates, officers, directors, employees, contractors, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use or misuse of the App
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any third-party rights
- Your User Content, including reports and voice recordings
- Your violation of any applicable laws or regulations
- Your use of the App while driving
- Disputes between you and other users
- Your sharing of location data with friends
We reserve the right to assume exclusive defense and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, and you agree to cooperate with our defense. You will not settle any claim without our prior written consent.
We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice.
Grounds for Termination
- Violation of these Terms
- Fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activity
- Submission of false or spam reports
- Manipulation of gamification systems
- Harassment or abuse of other users
- Misuse of social or location sharing features
- Request by law enforcement or government authority
- Extended periods of inactivity (account may be deactivated)
- Our discontinuation of the App or related services
Effect of Termination
Upon termination:
- Your license to use the App is immediately revoked
- You must delete the App from all your devices
- Your account and server-side data may be deleted
- All Sparks, XP, trophies, and progress may be forfeited
- Purchased store items may be inaccessible
- Premium subscription benefits cease (contact Apple for refund)
- Provisions that should survive termination remain in effect
Account Deletion by User
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us at hello@ceemap.com. Upon account deletion:
- Your profile, statistics, and preferences are removed from our servers
- Reports you submitted remain in the database but are no longer linked to you
- Local data on your device is not automatically deleted (uninstall the App)
- This action is irreversible
You may also terminate your use at any time by simply deleting the App and discontinuing use.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted to the App.
Notification of Changes
- Update the "Last Updated" date and version number
- Post a notice within the App for material changes
- Send push notifications for significant updates (if enabled)
- Require re-acceptance for major changes affecting your rights
Version History
This is version 2.0 of our Terms of Use, last updated December 14, 2025. Previous versions: v1.0 (January 15, 2025).
Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the App, delete it from your devices, and contact us to delete your account if desired.

Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Dispute Resolution
- You agree to first attempt to resolve any disputes informally by contacting us at hello@ceemap.com
- If informal resolution fails after 30 days, disputes may be submitted to binding arbitration
- Class action lawsuits and class-wide arbitrations are waived to the extent permitted by law
- Small claims court remains available for qualifying disputes
Time Limitation
Any legal action or proceeding must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or it will be permanently barred.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable or invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Orbital Point regarding the App and supersede any prior agreements.
Waiver
Our failure to enforce any provision of these Terms does not constitute a waiver of that provision or any other provision.
